Winners of the annual Carolina Woman photo competition

Once again, our readers set a new record for submissions to the annual Carolina Woman photography contest. They made it tougher than ever to choose just a few winners from the multitude of wonderful photos.

Thanks to every photographer who submitted work. You understood the difference between a snapshot and art because what we received was true art. Thanks, also, for sharing a bit about you. For example, our youngest entrant was 12 and our oldest was 82 (submitted on her birthday!).

In just the click of a camera, the winners managed to warm the heart, tickle the funny bone and tell great stories.
